In a subdued yet steadily positive market environment on Wednesday, the equities landscape recorded its fourth consecutive session of gains, albeit with less vigour than previous sessions. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed near their intraday peaks, bolstered mainly by contributions from mega-cap stocks. The S&P 500 concluded the session above the critical 4500 level.
