Wednesday’s stock market concluded on a subdued note during a session of low trading volume on the NYSE. Initial fluctuations were minor due to the absence of strong sentiments from both buyers and sellers.

We then witnessed a reversal as the indices printed multi-week lows. The S&P 500 touched a 5-week low, the Dow Jones Industrials a 4-week low, and the Nasdaq 100 regressed to levels last seen 6-weeks ago.

This downturn could be attributed to heightened bond yields after the release of the FOMC minutes from July.
